A business strategist who understands strategy—and a women’s real life

Your business should give you more choices—not fewer.

You didn’t start a business just to build yourself another job—one that demands too much, pays too little and leaves no room for the life you wanted it to support.

I’m Deidre Kennelly, a business strategist who helps women build successful businesses around the lives they actually want to live. Together, we question the rules you’ve been told you have to follow, identify what is costing you time, money and energy, and create a practical strategy for earning more without sacrificing more of yourself.

Most traditional business advice was built around a version of success that assumes someone else is handling the caregiving, housework and invisible labor. It rewards overcommitment, glorifies burnout and treats your capacity as unlimited.

Your ambition isn’t the problem. The rules are.

I help you decide what success looks like on your terms—and build a business that gives you more money, more time and more freedom. And perhaps dismantle a little of the patriarchy along the way.

The rules that guide our work

  • Trust yourself. Your intuition isn’t something to override. It’s insight—and one of your most valuable strategic tools.

  • Create your own damn rules. Question what you’ve been taught, let go of what no longer serves you and replace it with decisions that support the business and life you’re actually building.

  • Value all of your time. Caregiving, housework, invisible labor, the billable and non-billable work of running your business all draw from the same finite capacity. Your strategy needs to account for all of it.

  • Charge for the value you create. Your prices should reflect your expertise, experience and impact—not how little you think you can ask someone to pay.

  • Define success for yourself. More money. More time. More impact. More freedom. You get to decide what you want more of.

Practical strategy. Real change.

Becoming a mother—and then experiencing the impossible expectations placed on women during the pandemic—forced me to question the rules I had been following myself.

I realized I could no longer keep trying to fit my life into a system that had never been designed with women’s success in mind. I needed a different way to work: one that made room for ambition, motherhood, financial independence, rest and an actual life.

So I began creating it in 2020 with Kennelly Consulting.

Today, I combine practical, outcome-focused business strategy with a willingness to question the systems and assumptions that keep women overworked, underpaid and doubting themselves.

This isn’t about lowering your ambitions or settling for less. It’s about building a smarter business—one designed to support your income, your capacity and the life you want to lead.
